Federal rules dictate that all bankruptcy petitions are accompanied by proof of credit counseling. Individuals or married couples filing jointly are therefore mandated to undergo credit counseling.
We suggest using Money Sharp to obtain your certificate of credit counseling. Money Sharp is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. You may also obtain counseling from any Court approved counseling agency.

Bankruptcy hearings are typically scheduled four to six weeks after a Petition is filed.
Presently, Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Hearings are conducted telephonically while Chapter 13 Hearings are held by video conference.
Prior to 2020, depending on where you reside or the Chapter you file, you would attend a hearing in person in Harrisburg, York, Williamsport or Selingsgrove.
You will always be accompanied by Counsel.
